Do You Know What You Eat That is A High Antioxidant Food?

The U.S Department of Agriculture rates foods and considers those with a score above 2,000 to be a high antioxidant food. These disease fighting foods fall into many categories such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts.

Here is a list of the high antioxidant foods in each category.

Fruits: Blueberries, Cherries, Plums, and Dark Grapes
Vegetables: Kale, Spinach, and Artichokes
Nuts: Pecans, Walnuts, and Hazelnuts

Green Tea has also has a high antioxidant level, even more than broccoli! Do you enjoy wine and dark chocolate? Then enjoy a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate as a treat and you’ll be loading up on antioxidants too. It’s easy to see that you can give your body what it needs without having to eat foods that you may not like. Antioxidants are in plenty of foods so enjoy and feel good that you are doing something good for your body.
